Clostridium butyricum is a spore-forming, butyrate-producing anaerobic bacterium.
It is supplied for animal feed and, in some markets, supplement formulations. Human-grade strain code EB-CB51 is available from 1 to 10 billion CFU/g; animal-grade strain code EB-CB51-A is also available.
